Blessed by the Sea boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Rock on the front porch with a cold glass of tea or simply enjoy the porch swing with a loved one. The beach is just 700 feet from our driveway making for an easy walk to the public beach access conveniently located at the end of our street.
Enjoy a home cooked meal in the fully stocked kitchen followed by an evening movie on the large flat screen tv in the living room! The oversized sofa and two reclining chairs are perfect for kicking back at the end of a beach day!
Room 1 or "Surf Room"
Fall asleep dreaming of waves in this calming room with a queen size bed and flat screen tv. The large armoire provides ample storage for your belongings.
A full bathroom in the hallway features beautiful new luxury vinyl plank floors and comes stocked with bath towels and washcloths
At the end of the hallway you'll be greeted by the recently re-designed master bedroom. The queen bed, plush duvet cover, armoire, and master bathroom will make you feel right at home. Escape to the back deck off of the master for a morning cup of coffee!
Possibly the "fan favorite" amongst our littlest guests, the third bedroom offers a fun space to play and rest. A twin over full bunkbed houses multiple storage options for your belongings as well as a large staircase for safe entry to the top bunk.
Enjoy the spacious backyard as you grill dinner on the back patio. Enough room for your corn hole boards or other yard games, your family will enjoy time well spent in the backyard. You'll also find our third swing back here located under a large Live Oak tree.
Our outdoor shower stall is the perfect way to rinse off before entering the house!
Tucked into the southeast corner of North Carolina, Oak Island is just 30 minutes from Wilmington and about an hour from Myrtle Beach. A quick 15 minute car ride takes you to the quaint town of Southport, known for their July 4th celebrations and shopping. Oak Island faces south, giving you a perfect view of both the sunrise and the sunset on the beach!
Oak Island brings a relaxed beach vibe away from the hustle and bustle of other Carolina beaches. Local restaurants and fresh seafood markets are sure to impress. New on the island is a wonderful playground and splash pad just minutes from the house. Friday nights in the summer are especially fun with live music in the park.
On Oak Island there is plenty to keep your days full with 2 fishing piers, 2 marinas, and 3 public boat and canoe ramps. Hop over to see the Oak Island Lighthouse and stroll along their boardwalk. Kids will also enjoy checking out the Nature Center overlooking the intracoastal waterway on NE 52nd street.

Details for your stay
Check in is 3:00pm and check out is 10:00am. Early check-in and late check-out must be arranged and approved prior to your stay with Tammy or Justin.
We provide a handful of beach chairs and toys for you to use which are located inside the outdoor shower stall. Bedding and bath towels/hand towels/washcloths are also provided for your stay.

The code for the side door will be given the morning of check-in. Upon entry, please adjust thermostat to your desired temperature and turn on the dehumidifiers located in the living room and master bedroom. They will need to be emptied when machine indicates it is full. Turn on water heater- 4 breakers located in the breaker box in the hallway.
WiFi is available- password is located on the side of the refrigerator.
We ask that you rinse any sand off with the hose on the side of the house before entering. Do not rinse sand off in the showers! The outdoor shower is always a treat in the summer months. Please remove any wet bathing suits/clothing before sitting on furniture.
The remote for the master bedroom fan/light is located on the left side of the headboard.
Please do not wash beach towels in the house washer.
We have a strict no pet policy.
Smoking is prohibited inside.
Trash and recycle should be rolled to the curbside on Monday night and rolled back up when empty.
Checkout 10:00am
Empty and unplug both de-humidifiers. Adjust a/c to 75 in summer months and heat to 65 in winter months.
Please begin a load of bath towels/hand towels/ washcloths. Strip used bedding and leave on their respective beds for laundering by our housekeeper.
Rinse and return used beach chairs/toys to the outdoor shower stall.
Empty all trash cans.
Close all blinds.
Unplug coffee pot and toaster.
Turn off hot water heater.
Please empty refrigerator and load/run/empty the dishwasher.
Lock all doors and gates as you leave.
